Database
/ Article Indexes
Database / Article
indexes (also called periodical
indexes) may include the full text, abstracts, or citations
only of articles in magazines, journals and newspapers.
Some database / article
indexes contain abstracts or brief summaries of the articles. Many databases,
such as Academic Search Premier, contain the full text or
entire content of whole articles as they originally appeared in the periodical.
Online databases
and article indexes, purchased by the WSC Library are accessible from the
library Web site. The library also owns print indexes, good for researching
older materials that are not included in online indexes. For example, The
Book Review Digest in print goes back to 1907.
