Remember, to get help selecting a database: use Research - Databases: By Subjecton the Library's Web site, or ask a Reference Librarian. If you need business articles, go to the Databases by Subject page and choose Business from the Subject List for a business database or index. Similarly, for biographical information, look on the Subject List under Biography. And you know how to search Academic Search Complete, a general index. What about other databases and article indexes? Won't they look different? |
| Yes. But once you've learned the basics, it will be like driving a car you've borrowed from a friend. You know that there's a switch to turn on the lights or the radio--you just need to locate the controls. Even though they may look different, article indexes have similar features. Check for help screens within each database, or ask a librarian. | |
